I have a 2006 Monte Carlo, with about 205,000 miles. I was driving and the battery light and the service battery charging system notification appeared on the dash. I went to the store, came out and it started fine. I started it a few more times later and the light was still on. Then I waited a few hours and the light went away. The car starts fine, no hesitation, no dimming or slow response to anything electrical.

I have been hearing this sound in the radio area like the cd player is doing something, it’s a weird sound. I took the cd I had in it out, but the sound persisted. Could this somehow be causing a battery drain? I unplugged the radio fuse and it still made the noise. I have had the battery like a year and a half, still getting it checked tomorrow and the alternator. Any ideas on what else it could be?
