Default security light

hey guys cold as heck here so i used my remote starter(auto page)and let my car warm up..it has like a 20 minute timer so after cleaning off snow the car turned off. It started with no problem but my alarm functions arent working now. I cant use the remote start, lock doors, etc. when i try my hazzards just blink. I've read other posts where they cant start the car at all and thank fully that isnt my issue. I have tried pumping brakes on acc.,pulling headlight switch 3 times,im not sure if unplugging the battery terminal will work. Any ideas? I havent checked any relays or fuses yet.

Is it a factory alarm?

If its an aftermarket.. I would recommend taking it to get it checked.
It maybe a PCM issue...
My wifes 03 GMC Sierra has a PCM with no memory to keep the settings..
for an aftermarket alarm/remote start.
I discovered this when I had to change the battery in it.

Maybe it was so cold and had such a low charge..That very same thing may have happened to yours and used up what was left in the battery to get it started.. (Just a thought)

Maybe you have to do a security relearn?

not a factory alarm a whole new system...ive used the remote start for the past 4 years or so ive been up north with the cold weather...but like i said the remote starter once started stays on for 20 minutes then cuts off and today was the only time i let the full 20 minutes run off...so im hoping its just the alarm needs to relearn....i've had this for 10 years so maybe an upgrade is time. thanks STUMPMI!!!!
