same code

Default same code

Hey everyone for a while now I've had the engine code p0440 n I've been replaceing parts left n right I just recently replaced the purge solenoid n now I have 2 p0440 codes popping up...what's going on did I do something wrong

Whoa wait...I believe the code P0441 is the EVAP Emission Control System Purge Flow Fault....

P0440 Can be as simple as your Gas cap not being on all the way, or perhaps not making a good enough seal when closed...may wanna try changing it if you haven't already done so...

Start off basic...

Yes I already have checked and replaced the cap. It was old n cracked (rubber seal) so p0440 is a generic code so iit could be just about anything with the evap system. But just curious I went n checked the new solenoid n it was closed shut with the car off..is that normal or is it supposed to shut with the car on?
