My sail panel emblems for the '74 came. They look gorgeous. However, they are the 2-post variety and unfortunately the posts do not match the actual holes on the sail panels of the Monte.

Any idea how I can remove at least one of the posts?

A Dremel cut off wheel, hacksaw, maybe even a pair of sharp wire cutters. Maybe you could carefully grind it off with an angle grinder or a bench grinder. Also what about making an additional hole in the sail panel to match it up with the emblem.

 

I'd say use a bench grinder or a dremel. But very carefully. Or you could drill a new hole.

 

Dremel works the best just be careful

 

Or you can buy the ones with adhesive on them - My key chain I made I bought 73 Sail Panel emblems from some place online and it's stick=on
