Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been getting a lot of good info from your site but never posted.
I need help bad. 2000 Monte Carlo SS had it for about 6 month now love the
car but it's very troublesome been chasing a rough idle miss since I got it. Also have an evap code, put a new gas cap on cleared the codes and it came back. New that would be to easy. Tonight I was putting gas in and when I was done noticed gas running out from under car. It happened once before and it looks like a good quart or so. Can anyone help me?

Evap code is for your fuel....
Its sounds pretty obvious that you have a gas leak at 1 of the fuel lines,,,Once you fix the fuel line leak..You can clear the code and it shouldn't return...

I'm sure someone else will chime in with other suggestions.

Like David said, fuel line leak. I'd look for holes in the fill neck going to the tank. Holes in the fill neck can cause a CEL code to pop.
Had it happen on the wife's Mustang and they were TINY holes. Replacement tube was $150+. Some careful work with a wire brush, POR15, a couple coats of JB Weld and the problem went away.

raise the car up and look at ALL the fuel lines...return, feed and vapor lines...also the lines that go to the canister...the fuel filler necks in these cars rust out terribly...i have had to replace both of them in both of my montes...living in ohio, salt, brine and calcium chloride kill lines to include brake lines...if you still cant narrow down the problem, have them smoke check the fuel system...i have a smoke machine and a direct hookup and have an adapter that goes where the fuel cap goes...any holes will be easy to spot
Thanks for all the advice. I got a smoke test done for free by the guy at my breathalyzer shop. yes I have interlock sucks. anyway the little rectangle thingy by filler neck was bad solinoind. Got under to change it out and noticed a 1/4 inch id rubber tube sticking out by the canister and its not attached to anything gas leak I assume. where does it go? think I will drop the tank, charcoal can is not installed right it rattles around not in the clips. Any advise on this hose?
I checked everything under there it all was good. So I finally did what I was going to do months ago. DROP THE TANK low and behold the last idiot that did a fuel pump didn't line up the tab with the tab hole and put the ring back on with the pump seated crooked with no seal. Gas leak! should have done it long ago I am happier than a pig in **** right now. should solve all rough idle issues no more codes hippie. the power should increase as well. thanks again.
