Question Running hot

Okay people, just posted the other day how my MC was runnin fine, now this!Drove car this morning and started running hot, alittle over half on gauge, come to a light, temp creeps up.drive a few miles temp goes down but still over halfway mark.came home to flush radiator and new t-stat.Hope thats it.put new radiator in last summer.when idling at redllight, when pulling away apuff of white smoke from exhaust,(not oil smoke, steam)understand this is quite normal,am Iright or is there possibly a more serious issue here?Have not finished the flush yet, thoughts? 2000MC 3.8:

Question no t-stat

Hello everyone, question? Ilive in south Florida where temps hover around 90 degrees with heat index 24/7.Do I need a t-stat in my MC? Bought the car about 14 months ago, when I went to change it out there wasn't one in there!

You technically don't need one but if you have one it will bring car up to normal operating temps quicker is all.
