I have a 2006 3.9 Monte Carlo. It runs fine but I rough a little bit of a rough idle. It has new plugs and wires. I've also cleaned the intake. What else can I do?

 

If its not throwing codes it may be something that is about to fail. I would check your purge vent solenoid for proper operation. The very may be running rich. I'm no mechanic but have had a lot of experience with the 2006 3.9 Lt model. I have had thousands of dollars worth of work done on a engine I ultimately replaced for a brand new 3.9l v6 and it still had the rough idle in park drive and neutral. It would stutter on acceleration and what not. It even stalled a few times with a brand new engine. I had the fuel pump replaced but never the vent solenoid which is located inside the rear driver side wheel. It regulates the fumes which helps control air to fuel ratio and rough idles. I've never been to school and scam mechanics billed me for everything but the cheapest fix. Hope your Monte is up and running.
