Since you are not limited by a computer this is a pretty straight forward swap. Easiest bet would be to get parts (like exhaust, etc) from a local wrecking yard and just get new motor mounts.

you will most likely have to change your transmission too. all 6 cylinder trans have a different bolt pattern then one for small block v8. only one 6 cylinder transmission the one for the 4.3 litre v6 will bolt right up to v8 but will require 153 teeth flywheel..do the research before you spend a dime. you could save a lot of money by selling your v6 car and just buy a v8 car and junk the 305 and put a 350 in with a good built transmission.

NO don't buy a new car i just did a swap on mine about a month ago. I am assuming you have 3.8 liter V6. once you get a motor and tranny, cause urs will not work it is as simple as changing some motor mounts and dropping it in place, i advise putting the motor and tranny in as a whole. you will have to redo ur exhaust but that is no big deal.

You will need to change to different coils in the front.

Oh, yes there is a computer! Than why is there a wire coming off my choke.
I had to have a swap in my '83 Cutlass and eliminated it.
