Removing/ installing engine.
Hi, We got a new engine for my daughters car, the boys are disconnecting everything to remove the old engine , They are having a small issue trying to get the exhaust off the headers, and the ac lines.......... can u share any tricks to make it go quicker. what are the tools for the ac lines........I ll google what I can. but info from someone that's done it would be awesome. thanks in advance..

If it's a FWD Monte,
Disconnect battery and disconnect necessary wiring connectors. Unbolt the wiring harness from the firewall, remove axles, remove throttle cables, and unbolt the downpipe... Unbolt the engine mount, trans mount, and dogbones and it should come out. I'm sure I'm missing something, but that's the jist of it.

Fak i just lost everything i said . If u look on bad luck on the welcome forum you will see more info . Sorry battery dying .. They got it out anyhow with a few problems but have to change some stuff around on the other engine ..
So my son is having some problems finding parts that connect up, the ac pump is missing and the power steering pump is missing, as well as a pulley,

Sorry for the error . We are trying to locate the a c pump and ps pump and pulley off the new engine . But having problems identifying the engine since its different . Ive got the cast number , tried crossing it with gms cast number . Theres a number on the bracket . There used to be a site that would tell you everything in your vin . This is a S series from the stamp on the cast . Now to find the parts!
