Default removing engine

Hello everyone,up bright and early to get the day started,i should be getting an engine hoist today (crossing my fingers) so I can get this old 3.4 out,ive been working on getting it out for awile and the only thing I can visually see that's still holding down the engine is the transmission mount on the driver side, engine mount on the pass. side and the axle,my question is how to get the axles to disconnect from the transmission? any special tools I need?

Now I do not know what kind of car he was working on but I would guess they are all about the same when it comes to how they go together.
I am going to have some serious issues when I have to start working heavily on the 02 because I will be fairly lost. But, I will learn as I go with most things!! And having so many 6th Gen Montes on here, There will most likely be a post here that will help me through it.

It certainly helps when you don't have to hurry because it is your daily driver with no access to another vehicle!!
