Rebuild or Top end kit?

Default Rebuild or Top end kit?

Hi,im about to do some major work to my 00 monte carlo ss 3800 and im not sure to get a top end kit at auto zone with 450 hp(450 hp is what it says anyway)or a rebuild with performance parts? Any help would be great!

If you are looking to do anything too deep with your engine, I would avoid AutoZone and look to a higher end store, IMHO.

They are find for fluids and to check a CEL or something but I would rather get parts that I need to rely on from sources like NAPA or your better auto parts retailers. I even find that Rock Auto can be a great source online.

I like to buy parts individually versus kits as they often source cheaper parts that aren't as dependable.
