Default Random kill/shutoff

This morning I got up and started my car with no problems and went to the store 30 minutes away. After I came out I tried to start my car it started up for like 1 second then violently shut off.?. Then it started back like normal. This problem occurs atleast once every 2 weeks. Also, is it normal for my Monte to start up fast? Its like 1 second after I turn the key its running.

Whoa!!!
Same thing happened to me a couple days ago!!!
Except I was driving tho, out of nowhere my car shuts off as if I turned the ignition to switch it off, no hesitation, nothing, just shuts off
I pull over to the side of the road and i Turn it back on, it starts up and runs just fine
Hasn't done it anymore tho, hope it doesn't do it again either

That is dangerous and I hope that doesnt happen to you again. I was completely shocked when it started happening because It always runs great except for this. A couple of months ago it did use to violently shake for like 7 seconds when I started it up after 10 minutes of it sitting but it seemed to have went away and this problem has surfaced. Spark plugs and wires are good, I get my oil changed every 3k miles, I just dont know what that could be...

Sounds like either the ICM or crank sensor is acting up

Check your main grounds. Specifically the one on the bell housing bolt. And your battery cable connections. A mean bump or hard turn identified this for me once.
