Default Radio in setting mode not working

I can view the settings, but unable select options ,I hit display button it only works on exit. I used to be able in fob mode to reset remote for door locks , that worked when reset ,but would quit soon after even with new batterys and differant remote. Now I cann't reset anything Low tire, oil life etc. I disconnected car battery remote door locks worked a few times but quit . I ran out of ideas please help me.

My Cadillac did the same thing. It might be one of the modules. I don't know but the BCM might need to be tested.

The bcm might be the culprit, or the radio. Have you done the procedures before, and are confident it's not operator error? just asking.
