Default Radio questions

I have an '04 Monte Carlo with the radio amp under the package tray in the trunk. My problem is, when the weather was warm I had full stereo sound..sounded pretty good. As the weather has cooled the sound had deteriorated.

When cold the radio is very 'tinny' sounding, minimal base, and low volume...hard to hear even turned all the way up. As I drive and things warm up the sound gets louder and the quality of the sound improves.

Also the speakers on the left side of the car have an output of sound that is noticeably less than the speakers on the right.

Is this the amp going out on me? That is my guess...

I jiggled connections and looked for bad grounds...

Thanks in advance.
