when i pulled into my drive way it literaly sonded like a boom. my metal trans line on top is bent a little. also the whole center crumbled as well what would a radiator go like that my monty didnt over heat and it ran beautifull as allways till it blew. i know the coolent has a lot of pressurebut i dident know it had that much. i know my model has the electronic water pump i know its wiered how it sounds i followed every thing around. to see what could make the radiator blow but i am thinking it was how it was made. i am glad it did it when i got home then on the road;P

seems like a commen problem, call and tell your local dealer about it. maybe enough ppl with man up and we might get reinbursed.

 

its the same gen as yours the 7th gen i think it is more of a fluk it broke than any thing else. i think it was do to a defect of the stock radiator i have had it towed to the dealer to see what they said i am just glad i still have a warrenty till 150k and it has 6k on it now i just am glad if it is some thing serios the warrenty will take care of it.

 

got my monte back today and the dealer said it was a bad radiator they went top to bottom on the engine to make sure there were no more problems. with any thing else ithey put in a dual core radiator in my monty i didnt know there was a dual core radiator for our cars. but any way it runs alot cooler and seems to run alot better as well. do to how cool the new radiator is cooling the fluid getting rid of the heat i am wondering why they put in the dual core instead of the single like before. i am not complaning it cools more efficently now i am happy:P
