Default Proper Amount of Transmission Fluid

My 1996 Monte Carlo Z34 has been sitting for a year...and partly due to my own improper maintenance of the year prior and partly due to the prior owners, my transmission fluid is as low as it can get.

However, I can't find my owner's manual or any of my automotive guides to know how much transmission fluid it can handle, so I get the right amount in there...and don't spend more than I have to.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

First thing you have to do is pull the dip stick and see if it even has any oil on the stick. If is DOESNT, then you are at least 2 quarts low. Anything after that is a guess. What i would do is get about 4 qts and put it in one at a time. Check your dip stick to see if its starting to shows. You can always return what you didnt open.
