Default Power Steering problems

Well I don't know what I did but I replaced my front wheel bearings today and when I started the car after I was done the power steering pump is whining pretty loud, after taking it for a ride it quieted down a bit but still whines at a stop and the fluid looks frothy. The only thing I could think of that I did was turn the steering wheel each way to make access to the wheel bearing bolts easier to get to, I have turned the steering wheel with the engine off before and nothing has happened. Does anyone know what happened??? Thanks...

Well to answer my own post, I think I got some air in the system so I just changed the power steering fluid, well as much as you can get with a turkey baster, ran it a bit, changed the fluid again with some Lucas Power Steering Conditioner and now its quiet again. Steers better too...

I used that Lucas steering additive in a 1984 Corvette rack and pinion (it had the common "morning sickness" issue). Within a few turns of the wheel, no more problems. I ran it for three more years before selling the car--still no problems. I love that stuff!
