power steering belt

Default power steering belt

How do I remove the power steering belt I can't find a way to loosen up the tension

There's a tensioner somewhere around the pulleys. Use a ratchet and the tensioner moves, putting slack in the belt, allowing you to remove it.

he probably has a V belt setup.....which wouldnt have a tensioner...


does your PS pump look like it's adjustable? or is it the same belt that runs the alternator? one or the other should have a bolt in a fixed location, and another that goes in a slotted mount...so you can adjust the tension that way....
