Power Steering on 3.8 and how to fill??
I have read that the power steering unit is down by the firewall on the passengerside. How do you check the fluid level and how do you fill it??
I'm wondering because I'm getting a very odd click noise from the wheels whenever the wheels are turned to the left or to the right, I notice it when the car is stopped, or when I'm turning at very low speeds, for instances from a complete stop. The window has to be open for me to hear it, if the window is closed you can't notice it. The dealer has already replaced an axle and the strut mount on the driver side. I'm thinking maybe power steering???

It's a royal PITA to get to.
I've had the cap off, "ONCE"..... It's all the way towards the bottom of the engine as well. Have you located it yet?
You will need a super long funnel to add to it..

That click you hear is normal. Its due to the craddle being all aluminum on our cars. I read there was a TSB for that, at the dealer they remove all the bolts that are in the craddle and apply some type of lubricant to it to stop the noise. But it is totally normal and nothing to worry about.

Well I finally got to check the fluid while doing the U-Bend. I figured while I was under the car (which was on a lift) I would give you guys a snap shot to work with. Good luck to those trying to reach it....ITS NOT EASY!
