Im guessing ..since you live in adrian.....Is your plan to run it at Milan?

If so, I would Probably throw in a ford 9" rear end (pig type) and run 411,or 456 gear.
Since your monte has a 10 bolt standard rear end. (inspection cover) type. (its not really designed to handle a race set up.) So then I would also consider a 12 bolt...swap!

Youd be all set.... But since you havent really said what your goal is as far as what your trying to accomplish with this gear change....

But if your just gonna be messing around on the streets Id say a 355, depending on what rpms your motor actually spins at...That way you can still run the strip, street and highway....

What also comes into thought as far as what gear to run depends on Lift, duration, rockers, or hydraulic, or solids..Compression, heads, valve size, carburation, etc etc....

Maybe someone else will chime in with some other ideas as well.

Mostly street??..or strip??..4:56s would shine at the strip but KILL your mileage and driveability on the street...We need a little more info on the intended use of your Monte..thanks..

This is an educated guess...

With it bored @ 60 over really doesnt tell me much...what kinda heads? Valves? (size) if say there 202,194's...

I would more than likely for street cruise mode...A strip run for times...
efinately a 355 is the best way to go..IMO...

With the cam specs you listed I assume the engine is built to produce power in the low and mid rpm range. IF the rest of the engine build followed that theme you probably don't want/need to twist it very tight to obtain optimum power and torque. For mostly street use I'd look at gearing right around the 3.73 to 3.90 range.
