Hi Don, welcome to the forum.
Had the same thing happen to my 99 last winter. It turned out to be ice formed in the 02 sensor, i believe. After it warmed up outside, the code went away and all has been fine since. Come to find out later, my wife had put the car through some VERY deep snow, and neglected to tell me about it......go figure.
