Default People interested in strut replacement write up? (how to)

This past week my rear pass side has been making some noise, i discovered the pass side strut top plate has run it's course and needs to be replaced,

so i'm guaging interest in a write up(how to)

it isn't a monte but is a W body(00 olds intrigue) which would be similar, and would take many pics and could easily apply to 5th 6th & 7th gens

Hi `Justin,
If you have the time to do it, I think many member's would be interested in seeing how you do it...
Thanks for all your contributions to the Monte Carlo Family 4-Sure...

I also voted for if you feel like it. I don't come from a family of do-it-yourselfers, so I don't really see myself doing something like replacing the struts on my car. When the time comes, I'll just have to suck it up and pay someone to do it for me, like most other stuff on my car.
But there are probably a lot of others on the forum that might appreciate the info.

If I may ask, what kind of noise do you hear?

I've only just started to work on fixing a whole slew of problems with my 6 year old (since I bought it) '96 monte after having the fuel pump die while at the post office... so I'm taking care of all these things and fixing it up, and I know that when I go over a bump the size of, oh, coming out of the parking lot, I hear a rubber on metal kind of hard rubbing squeak noise on the right front strut.

I know my way around fixing stuff up and working on a car, but in all honesty, now is the first time I've really gotten into doing it all, so I'm going around learning everything about fixing this car up while I'm fixing up all my problems. If that squeak just means it needs greased or something and is normal, and not that it's worn, could you let me know?

I have driven this car down many gravel roads for about 2 years after I bought it, so there's plenty of dust all around, in case that's a factor.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind reading a guide on replacing struts, too, in case I do need to.

it's a bit of a clunk when going over bumps, it's kind of hard to explain but when i look at it it's like pushed back towards the rear of the car and i can move it around the strut nut and washer with relitive ease
