6th Gen ('00-'05): Parked my car and now it won't start.
I don't know that throwing parts at it is the best answer. But the Bud Chev sat parked for a couple of years and I needed to change the crank sensor when I tried to get it going again. The sensor had never failed before and it was the car's first real mechanical failure. Parking these things seems to be hard on them.

I have owned my blue 2004 since 2008, parked it every winter. First few years, parked outside, under cover (so it was still exposed to all the elements). Just disconnect the battery. To this day, never had any issues. Since 2021, I added a 2000 Monte to the line up. It was originally parked outside, zero issues. Now both Montes this year are in a large garage/workshop for the winter. I expect no issues come spring. I think issues vary, some on location and some if critters get into them.
