Default P0122 throttle position sensor

Hello, I have a 2002 monte carlo ss 3.8l 3800 engine and I keep getting this p0122 code. I replace the throttle position sensor and cleaned the throttle body. Is there anything I have to do such as calibration or resetting. I read where you have to put it on in the 12' o clock position then rotate it to the 9'o clock position. Can someone tell me how to get rid of this code. the car is idling and running well. Thanks

I assume whatever device you used to read the code would also have a function to clear the code. I have only ever used one code reader, and it is a $99 AutoZone special, and it can clear the codes. Hope you get it cleared. Glad to hear your ride is running well again!

Stop my your nearest autoparts store (Advance, Autozone, O'Reilly, etc) and have them clear the code. If it comes back, then you know you still have a problem.

autozone cannot clear codes. O'reilly it depends on store as policy says they can't but some do it anyway. Advanced I have zero exp with them. Though you can buy a 30$ obd2 scanner that can clear them.
