Default Oil Pressure

I'm having problems with my 2001 monte 3.8 SS.
I recently did a engine swap. I put in a brand new oil sending unit. But after about 10 Minutes of driving, the "low oil pressure" light comes on and the gauge drops. it tends to bounce back up and shut off if i hit a good bump or sometimes randomly. I check all the harness connections and can find anything. Please any suggestions or similarities will help.

Thanx, Dan

make sure that the connections for the oil pressure sending unit are clean, make sure that it is tight, it is possible to have bought a faulty one, so if all else fails get another one. also, you may have put this in the wrong section. Welcome to the forum, hope that you stick around and share some pics of your ride

I moved it to the correct section.

I have a couple of thoughts that come to mind:
1. - Bad sensor (like George mentioned)
2. - Damaged wiring, a possibly short.
3. - A mechanical issue, you might be dropping pressure. I believe the only way to prove it is put a mechanical pressure gauge on it. If you are dropping, could be an issue with junk clogging the oil pick up, clog in the system, damaged oil pump.
