For the longest time I used Conventional Mobil Clean 5000 5w-30 with a purolator filter. Got me to 180,000 miles without any real engine issues

Since putting the CSC Kit on the car (since the blower is oil fed), I switched to the same Synthetic that I run in my Camaro. Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 with a Wix filter

I run castrol 10w30. As long as youre ocd about regular oil changes filter brand doesnt matter too much, just avoid the ones with an actual bad rep

I favor BOSCH oil filters (since my early days changing oil, it looks/feels like it's cleaner coming out with a BOSCH filter, outside my observation, I have nothing). I use 5w30 conventional in all my GMv6 engines and change 3,000-5,000 miles (no further then 5K).
This spring I am thinking about switching the Monte to synthetic as a summer of driving is so border on 5,000 miles, synthetic is to extend oil change intervals among other things. Just some thoughts.

I too run synthetic. Use Redline 15-50 weight engine oil and NAPA Gold oil filter. In my tranny we use the Redline D6.

AMSOIL, Lucas, and Royal Purple are all great engine oils to use should you go that route.
