is it normal

I have a 2000 monte carlo ss, is it normal for the oil pressure gauge to go up evrey time i press the accelerator.

i believe so. i know my car does it & i get my monte checked up on constantly

the harder you accelerate the faster the pump is turning. its all good. you should only worry if it doesnt come back down because then your pressure relive valve for your oil is jammed. but yer all good as spinem said
