Default No 3rd?

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, and my trans just needs a rebuild... but maybe I'm wrong?

---Transmission shifts perfectly, 1st, 2nd, 3rd doesn't exist , then 4th @45 mph, and 3000rpms-ish. lol. Reverse works great, holds 4th just fine, as well as 1st and 2nd. This car... man...

Something for sure is wrong in the trans, time to get in there and figure out what broke, do a soft rebuild while your at it

I'm thinking I'm gonna go with a hard rebuild. Long term goals is for more power and some sort of boost, just was curious if there might be something external or stupid I might not know that could cause this...

A hard rebuild would be every component and that's most likely not needed. Soft rebuilds are all the seals, clutches, solenoids, etc. Hard rebuilds would be like input shaft, output shaft, clutch baskets, sprags, etc

Right, if there are any parts that are heavier duty, or upgraded from the stock parts I've got, I'd like to know what they are so I can get them and make sure they are installed when the transmission is being gone through.

There is many parts that can be upgraded depending on the money you are willing to spend. I suggest you call Dave at triple edge performance, he specializes in these trans and is one of the best builders. I also suggest you having him build your trans. If you tell him your plans with the car he will tell you what you should upgrade etc. His customer service is above and beyond. (He built my trans etc.)
