It's really exciting I'll say! I drove a couple of hours and am still breaking the engine in. I'm having a little bit of rough idle, so I am going to give it a couple of days. I was told it may take a couple hundred miles to break in.
I also had them install a KN cold air intake as well and it roars! I feel like I just bought a brand new car!

Summit Racing has these. I'm told to always use the Dexron formula, so any of the brands on this page will work.

Sweet, nice to know your back out on the road and doing a shake down cruise. Nothing more reassuring hat you have a nice long warranty with your new engine / tranny.

Did you happen to have them install an external transmission cooler? It can really use it. I have 2 external coolers on mine, was driving around with the engine @ about 180 degrees, my tranny was 115 degrees. It's going through 3 cooler, the factory and 2 external multi-pass coolers.

I did have a cooler installed, and it really does a nice job of keeping those temps down.

I can't wait for the weather to warm up around here so I can spend more time shining things up under the hood. I've got to find something that works well to shine all the hoses up. I'm not sure if hoses are safe to be sprayed or wiped with anything other than water though...

The car has still been shaking on idle. So, I took it back to get looked at. It could any number of sensors or just a faulty spark plug. But I am looking forward to a fix!

The new transmission is fantastic though! Shifts super smooth...

I think we have a fix! Coil #1 is bad...which controls cylinders 1 and 4. This explains the misfire code too. I'm supposed to get the car back tomorrow (crossing my fingers). Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful 55 degrees....a perfect day for a car wash and photos
