to the forum!

Our low tire pressure lights work off of the wheel hub assemblies. They judge the rotation of each tire, and if one tire is rotating at a different speed than others, it's assumed that the overall diameter is different (such as being low on air).

Good I'm glad it worked!! There's also a different one for the oil life. But I'm hopefully taking it to the shop tomorrow if I can get off early enough. I have learned to live with it , I'm just hopeing I don't miss it. But then again I don't have chimes in my car. So I only have to deal with the light. Last but not least welcome to MCF!

Hello everyone. Happy 4th of July. I am hoping someone can answer a question for me. We have a 2000 monte carlo SS. It has been losing coolant, and surges at freeway speeds ocassionally. I have been told by several people that it has an intake manifold leak. Does this sound like a good diagnosis? So, I am repairing it now. After removing the upper manifold (plenum) I found a lot of oil sitting in the lower intake where the 2 hidden bolts are. Is this normal? Or is there another problem? I don't want to put it back together, just to have to tear it down again. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, Jim
