I have a 2004 Monte ls 3.4 and it vibrates when turning right and when accelerating. Already changed driver side axle and it still does it. I noticed the output shaft moves around inside the seal. Is that normal? And does the seal (if its good) hold it centered and keep the axle from vibrating?

Might be the wheel bearing/hub.

I thought about that, driver side was changed about 2 years ago and passenger side last year. My next move will be the output shaft seals on both sides. Both output shafts have enough play in them that I can move the axles slightly. I wonder if those seals are supposed to keep the output shafts centered?

I think the seal just keeps transmission fluid from going everywhere.

I thought the unloaded axle, is the noisy one? I. E. Less torque, more noise? Also, the seal doesn't center the axle. There's a sleeve bearing in the transmission.
