Default need advice

I recently posted a question about the noise my car was making, and i got a couple of places to start looking that really helped.Well today I dug into it and discovered that the problem is acutally in the transmission itself. On the passenger side where the cv shaft goes into the trans. there is around 1/8 inch of play.I'm thinking that is a bearing that has went bad.It looks like I can get the casing for that section off realitivly easy.If anyone has encountered this or ever heard of this please let me know, also if anyone has a haynes or chilton manual that they may be able to pm me with that section that would help also, any help would be greatly appreciated.Ihave attached a pic of the problem area, hope that helps explain it.
