Hey Adrian, did you get any SES lights after installing your downpipe?

Big Bud: I emailed ZZP and they told me to get some or all of these mods for close to 40 extra horsepower

1. ZZP Downpipe-$189
2. Cold Air Intake-$230
3. ZZP PCM-$89
4. High Velocity Throttle Body-180
5. High Velocity Intake Insert-200
6. GT Camshafts-300
7.Water Pump Underdrive Pulley-70

Hell that's over $1000 in parts alone, and I don't want to think about the cost of labor for all that. Hmmm I still want all that stuff!! I need to hit the lotto

SS_Girl: I got no SES lights after installing the downpipe, and I actually got the downpipe with the high-flow cat. There's a bit more growl to it, and mileage went up too. The CAI actually made the car louder than the downpipe did, which makes sense, I just didn't expect as much change. Also what I did, was order just my downpipe first, and if you go on to ZZP now, they offer a $50 coupon if you return your old downpipe and cat to them for recycling, and they even paid for shipping. I took them up on that offer, and I will be sending in my PCM for reflashing for ~$40 after that $50 off. I've also looked at the throttle bodies, and I have considered them as well. Not to push you away from ZZP, but I'm frugal enough I like to find the best deal. I found my K&N Kit off of e-bay for $160, saving me a pretty penny. By July of next year, God and wife willing, I plan on having the new PCM in, the HV3 and the throttle body. However, I think once I have that, I don't plan on dealing with the cam. I think that having those valves open any longer can't do anything but kill my mileage. Additionally, I do all my work, so with labor these things wouldn't be as possible. In my opinion, the downpipe and CAI have made a great difference, and according to the reviews on the ZZP PCM, that would really complement everything with a little better price.

Hope this helps.

Adryan - the stock rocker ratio is 1.6. I'm not sure how the PCM figures out to add more fuel but it just does. It might dectect the engine running lean and then compensate in the short term fuel trim and then write to the long term fuel trim.

That portion is out of my league still.
