So I was driving two days ago,...heard a bubbling sound and two seconds later "pop" smoke and coolant all over. Raised the hood and the radiator cap had blown off. What does this mean? My hope is that the cheap cap that was on there from auto store was just too cheap. BUT...I have to consider all. Was going to replace the water pump, upper and lower hoses too. But I figured it best to check with others...thanks for any input. By the way its an 07 SS

 

Sounds like a bad cap, or maybe wasn't put on correctly. h
