the meshi've seen was held on with metal clips. they are shaped like the letter 'c' but mashed nearly flat and on the insides of both sides of the clip it has little tangs that are bent down and back that bite into thepart and the mesh. if the clipsslip,... the tangstend to bite harder into the part. mesh billet grillesuse this type of clip.

I take it all the other speakers are working fine?

If you haven't checked the connections I suggest you go through and make sure they are all working just fine and that the + is matched up to the + and the - to the -.

Maybe it's just the speaker itself that isn't working? Did you try switching it with one of the ones that is working to make sure it's still functioning?

Check the BALANCE.

I had a kid come by all frustrated because his million-dollar new stereo system wasn't putting out on the door speaker ... until I adjusted the Balance from the Right Speaker to the Left.

When He came back ... I had him convinced I swapped the speakers in both doors until I broke-down and spilled the beans that the Balance was just maladjusted.

That's all it was!

Lol Rick, a few days after getting the monte and trying the Aux hookup we noticed that we weren't getting sound on one side, checked balance and everything. Dad was getting pretty pissed about a newer car with a messed up stereo. Turned out the mini jack just wasn't quite in all the way.
