I want to change my UIM/LIM gaskets to the aluminum joints. Can anyone tell me what the best brand to get would be. I don't normally do this type of work myself but my budget won't allow for anything else. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Hands down winner. Get the Fel-Pro PermaDryPlus. Dorman also makes a metal carrier gasket but I haven't actually seen them. I think they are made in China whereas the Fel-Pro are USA. I looked at Victor Reinz also from RockAuto, the picture showed they were metal but when I called the company to confirm the picture was incorrect and they were all nylon like the lousy original equipment ones.

 

Cool I been searching around on the internet and that appears to be my best option. Thanks for the input now headed to check out the parts stores tomorrow hopefully they are on shelf parts I hate waiting for things in the mail.
