Default RE: low coolant light

I have a 2000 SS 3.8 with the same issue. My Chev mechanic cousin said the intake plenumwas the issue. They get soft and leak internally with the coolant seaping into the egr and reburning. It will have a tendancy to shudder a bitat start up and when you come to a stop. Does that fir the problem? Dealer plenums are around $100 with aftermarkets for $55-$60. Good Luck.
