Default Love it when the fix is easy....

Yayyy! I managed to fix my A/C yesterday and it didn't cost me a cent.

My A/C hasn't been working this summer, and I really didn't want to shell out of a servicing. I was worried that all the messing around with the A/C compressor during my engine rebuild (we unbolted it ant hung it from the rad support), we might have loosened a fitting or split a hose.

Yesterday I thought I'd poke around and check the relays, fuses and compressor clutch just in case. To my surprise, the plug on the A/C pump itself didn't seem to be plugged correctly and wouldn't seat right. I had to un-bolt the compressor and slide it forward so I could turn it to see in the plug's socket.

Turn's out, one of the tines on the plug was bent over so it was not making contact. Bend it back and I am ready for the summer heat!

Not a big victory, but I just had to share as it made my day to find out the fix was so easy and the $$$ could stay in my wallet.

Its only expected to hit 20ºC today. We have had a few mid twenties, but June has been pretty wet and mild. Usually July through September we have mid to high twenties with the odd over 30º 'heat wave'. I know that's nothing compared to many places, but sitting in traffic still sux.
