so i was sifting through my manual, and i read about changing beep modes for the keyless entry, and it descibes how to do so..but doesn't detail what your doing all of what they describe on, is the interface in the dash stereo some how? or do you need an external unit plugged into the computer. really all i'd like is my 04' monte to beep when it locks.

 

Turn your car on, and turn the radio off. Hold the DISP button on your radio for about 10 seconds, then you will see the menus and should be able to follow the directions.
