6th Gen ('00-'05): loud ticking noise in reverse

Default loud ticking noise in reverse

2003 SS 132000 miles, orig front end,
have an intermittent ticking sound coming from right front section when turning in reverse
stops when I shift out of gear.
thought I heard it turning in d but not so pronounced. hubs not whining yet

thoughts?
hard to id so far, going to get a friend to sit on hood as I back out driveway,jk

Might be brake slides out of position, bent or not lubed.

wouldn't I have noticed brake problem?

will examine brakes this week

haven't done front brakes in 30000, still have pad left rotors good, would slides go bad waiting on brake job?

Won't effect braking. The slides are independent of the pads, rotor and caliper and don't indicate you need a brake job. Lack of lube can make them stick in one position on the caliper and might be catching on each rotation. I've heard of this happening.

brakes good , slides too
sound happens in reverse even without motion
traction came on during it once, thinking sensor problem in abs?
