Hello-- I will be putting my all white 2004 monte in the shop because she squeaks and or squeals when in reverse. I'm thinking its the brakes but..would like to hear any other suggestions so that I might have a heads up when I turn her in next week for repair.

 

Not sure about this problem but I have had that happen on a truck of mine and it was asmall gravel lodged against the caliper. Wierd and rare but has happened.

 

If the emergency brake is not properly adjusted it can squeal when you apply the brakes when backing up.
