I have an 02 LS and about june 2007 I had to replace the ignition cyl.-tumblers broke. that was about 70,000 miles on the car. now at 84,000 miles and 2 and 1/2 years later the same problem. I had a gm tech help me on the first one and had about $150 in the repair. this time had it towed to gm and $450 later I get a 1 year warranty. I was wondering how common this problem is and maybe a tech or someone would put a sticky in the how to section on the passlock relearn procedure. I doubt there is a tsb on this but I have heard this cylinder breaking happens a lot. thanks for any info.
