It's the weirdest thing
I own a 2007 monte carlo lt 3.5 the other day I'm going over to trenton I get off route one I'm at a traffic light the light turns green I go to accelerate and the car does nothing won't take off so I'm thinking maybe I accidentally hit the e-brake I didn't next thing I know the abs light comes on and service traction control the car isn't throwing a check engine light the gears shift smoothly with no hesitation I don't have the slightest clue what could be wrong can someone shed some light on this
This happened in my 01 the other day when i went to pull out of a parking spot I simply key cycled 3 times from on to off and the lights turned off and every thing was normal now my 01 has the sport suspension and prob has older tech than your 07. Now as to why it happened usually this is a sign that one of your abs sensors is going bad but then again im not a technician its just what i was told when i asked a local mom and pap shop that i get my inspections done at.
ABS lights come on for many reasons, mine was because my rear brakes were extremely low, and werent working properly. I changed out my rear brake pads, and ABS light went off. Sounds like your bearing is sticking, and chances are your pads may need changed.
*I always get alignment after front end work as well

You have the symptoms of a wheel bearing going bad. That would illuminate the ABS/Service Traction Control. The hesitation taking off at the light was probably due to the bearing being hot and began to seize.
A shop with a Tech II or equivalent scan tool can query the ABS controller to determine which wheel bearing it is.

dude - it's like mentioned above, most likely a wheel hub, slight chance a hung up caliper... if you don't get it fixed you just may find yourself having a tranny issue. good luck!
