ive got the same setup in my car but i went a 180, i used grommets to go thru the vent with the wire and keep it sealed, used the single leds and ran it into my headlight switch so they come on when the headlights do, also have a led strip behind the fake wood above my glove box.
you can see here

The lighting looks GREAT! Might have to consider this in blue!
And as far as the interior, I'm talking REAL leather. I am sending out parts this week to start with. Here is their link:

Here is a sample of their work:

This is where my mod'ing money is going this winter.

Please dont get that much red haha. Are you gonna get your seats stitched too, id like to have the centers re-done so that it doesnt have all the strips up and down and so its softer.

OMG! I love that look! I would love to put lights even just in the vents of my car.. The red would look amazing inside of my MC.. I wish that I was more mechanically inclined to do something like that.

not tryin to sound like a dick but this is ridiculously easy to do. just pull the trim off your vents, glue the leds in place, and run the wires to a switch or into any other 12v source. its 10 mins work at most. u get the stuff ill walk u thru it

When the temp is 2 degrees F, it takes a bit longer, well really you dont have to get outside of the car. I think it took me an hour total, but thats just because you have to run all the leads to the box, which is very simple.

yeah your time outside the car is very minimal, just crank her up and crank the heat and you're snug as a bug in a rug
