6th Gen ('00-'05): Impact sensor missing?
I have a 2000 Monte, the airbag light has been on since I bought it. I was working around the headlights and found an unplugged wire that takes a two-prong male connector. I've been looking online and can't find a definite answer on if there is an impact sensor on this year. Does anybody know?

I finally found out what the part number was and that lead me to where it was located I have found them on some wrecked ones too. It happens to be on the front upper radiator brace. That is the usual spot on a radiator brace. They get dirty and then the connections are bad that causes the light.
If you have a salvage yard that you can go an investigate where they might be that would be a good thing.
The location of the issue comes up on a scan. Sometimes there is just a dirty connection under the seats and I think they put a control unit sometimes under the console.
When you do change it make sure you disconnect all power to the Car so it doesn't blow the airbags when the sensor is replaced.
I would suggest a google search for the problem and then select videos and that might help you find it.
