Default I need LED help!!

OK so I hooked up two LED strips under my dash and hooked them to a switch but when I turn them on, the lights come on but are very dim. I guess everything is hooked up right but why do they come on so dim? I hooked the power up to the top auxiliary post above the battery.

You have a good ground? I had the same problem with my LED undercarage lights but that was I had them hooked up to a source that was not 12volt at first. But where you have them should be 12 volt.

Hey thanks and yeah it turns out it was the switch. I got a new one and now it's working just fine. Sometimes it's the simplest thing...
