Default Help with Tach

Anyone help with hooking up a Tach ?? I have a 84 Monte & I got a tach out of a SS I want to put in. Mine has 2 metal pins on the back plastic and the SS has 4 metal pins.(see pics) 2 of the pins are marked with a - & +. what are the other two pins for ? Since mine has only 2, How can I wire it up to work ?

I am sure someone will post. I am not sure as I installed an aftermarket tach in mine and did not use the cluster wiring.

Just Got the SS plastic back plate with the 4 pins on it, Then since my car didn't have an original tach, I ran a wire from the distributor to the white wire in the factory harness !!
