Help please P0446

Does any one know to trouble shoot this code. The car is a 06 monte ss. I looked at the cap and the vent valve in the rear fender well and all looks good. Thanks!

EVAP Emission Control System Vent Circuit Malf. , check evap vent solenoid, maybe new gas cap for starters?

I pulled the vent solenoid and tested it with 12 volts and it closed like it should. I will try a new cap and see if it sets the same code,thanks!

I put on a new cap but I need a few drive cycles on it now for it to reset. How long does a drive cycle take ?

some say drive on the highway for 10 miles...thats what they say when its time for inspection, but honestly im not sure

Well the cap did not fix it, mil back on and same code again. I guess maybe I will get a vent solenoid next.
