Default Help needed

2003 Monte Carlo. Out of the blue the dash message center says “high beam out” and both my blinkers blink rapidly. All bulbs are intact. Blinker works at normal speed when first starting car until it’s put into gear. The high beam message also doesn’t show up until then either. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have the specific answer but the cheapest actions are: check the two-wire ground wire on the core support on the driver's side and unplug and reseat the headlight bulbs sockets and tail light bulbs sockets. I believe someone solved their issue by replacing the headlight switch; another replaced the turn signal multi-switch. When your blinkers blink rapidly, press the emergency flasher button on the dash and see what happens, the flasher unit unit under the button may be going bad, which causes all sorts of gremlins. Do your headlights come on when you release the parking brake? Do they come on automatically in the dark (such as entering a dark parking garage or tunnel . That is controlled by an ambient light sensor on top of the dash and causes problems when it goes bad - you can cover it to test. Also, try resetting by disconnecting the negative/ground side of the battery following recommended procedures. There are many high beam out and turn signal posts here, one may have their results and tests. You can also try searching 2000-2005 Impalas, they are the same as ours.
