HELP ME PLEASE: Battery removal 2006 S.S.
ok. I thought this would be about a 20 min job to remove the old battery and put in a New one
ARE YOU freakin kiddin me. Holy crap Batman I can't even figure out how to get the old one past the fuse block on the shock tower !! Can someone PLEASE give me a few hints on how to do this ? Its a V8 2006 SS. man I need help badly! Thanks for any short cuts or help you can give me. Rick

pull the wires off, neg first then pos.
then remove the fender brace, there will also be a bolt on the engine side of the battery that you need to loosen because it holds in the battery, once those are all off just pull the battery out

It's a VERY tight fit for the LS4.
I had removed the face of the fuse box and moved it as much as I possibly could, and it was a matter of tilting the battery very carefully and trying to maneuver it out.

Ok nsit back and read this. I need your help. My 06 SS V8. Well the battery is dead. I bought a new one and want to take the old one out! That where the PROBLEM IS
.. Took the brace off. and took the fuse block loose on the shock tower. But can't move it enough to get the battery out of there. Now theres got to be a trick to getting that thing out of there PLEASE! Has anyone ever did this before ? HELP.....Someone. Or just shoot this oldman

Disconnect the negative battery cable
Remove the right front diagonal brace
Reposition the positive battery cable terminal cover (1)
Loosen the positive battery cable terminal nut

Remove the positive battery cable terminal from the battery
Remove the battery retainer bolts (1) and retainer (2)
Remove the battery
Well after 3 guys tell you the samething. I guess thats what has to be done. Don't ask me how. But I got it out with my wifes help! Thanks Honey. I don't know how I'm going to get the new one in there ?? it was a BITCH ! I want to have a face to face with the engneer that designed that. So I can kick him in the NUTS !
