pull the wires off, neg first then pos.

then remove the fender brace, there will also be a bolt on the engine side of the battery that you need to loosen because it holds in the battery, once those are all off just pull the battery out

It's a VERY tight fit for the LS4.

I had removed the face of the fuse box and moved it as much as I possibly could, and it was a matter of tilting the battery very carefully and trying to maneuver it out.

MIKE: Is that a 2 piece fuse block ? I got it away from the shock tower but it won't move enough to get the battery out! The wires just won't spread that far.

Disconnect the negative battery cable
Remove the right front diagonal brace
Reposition the positive battery cable terminal cover (1)
Loosen the positive battery cable terminal nut

Remove the positive battery cable terminal from the battery
Remove the battery retainer bolts (1) and retainer (2)
Remove the battery
